Rustic little place near Soll, well placed for the SkiWelt's best (and most central and snow-sure) section of pistes - though the village itself is not convenient for the lifts. The attractive centre is typically Austrian, with pretty buildings and a small church. The slopes here are not ideal for beginners but, when the snow is good, it can be a great place for intermediates - cruising the attractive, friendly pistes of Austria's largest linked area. You can ski to the SkiWelt lifts at Blaiken but you need a bus to get back. The area also enjoys Austria's largest snowmaking operation, which means that the lack of altitude is less of a problem than it was - but of course snowmaking is not a complete solution.
