Marilleva
Small modern resort consisting of several 1960s-style, low-rise concrete buildings built on a mid-mountain shelf and reached by road or gondola from the lower part of the resort on the valley floor.

Using the Ski Club’s new membership cards, you can use “Pay As You Go” skiing in this resort without having to buy a pass or wait in a queue!
Marilleva is part of the ski area which also consists of Folgarida and Madonna di Campiglio. The area has 150km of pistes.
The Folgarida/Marilleva ski resort is best suited to beginners and intermediates. There is an excellent beginners area at the top of the gondola which links Marilleva 900 and Marilleva 1400. Intermediates have lots of blues and reds to navigate in the Marilleva valley. The Doss Della Pesa peak has an excellent group of blues running down from it, while the Monte Vigo peak, has a long red which runs all the way down to Marilleva 1400. Advanced skiers have a number of black runs to choose from, as well as a good snowpark for adrenaline junkies and plenty of off piste tree skiing available.
Accommodation mainly comprises of hotels and apartments. Marilleva is a three and a half hour drive from Milan airport.

Italy will barely benefit from the Nordstau conditions dominating through the middle of this week across the rest of the Alps, sitting as it does on the wrong side (for perhaps the first time this season) of the Main Alpine Ridge. It will not be without cold and snow, however, as the same cold conditions do make it over the Alps; in msot palces the freezing line drops from above 2,000m early this week to seas level by close of play on Thursday.
A few flurries will make it through; the best of this will be on higher ground closer to the ridge, with around 20cm expected down at Cervinia over the course of Wednesday and Thursday. This will be reduced to a few flurries in the Via Lattea or over the Dolomites.
A brief burst of sunshine follows for many areas, before the last few tails of cloud bring with them some more snow into the new week; it remains too early to tell exactly when and where this will fall, and how much, but the southwest seems to be getting the best of it.
