With a fantastic snow record and some of the best advanced off piste terrain in Europe, this mountain guide led week will be one to remember. With 305km of runs and 200km of off piste, all served by 94 state of the art lifts, you'll never be short of territory to explore.
ON SNOW EXPERIENCE
This holiday is a great opportunity to explore this world-famous ski area in the capable hands of local mountain guides with six full days off piste. You’ll be split into groups set to the standard of skiing and this trip is aimed at Advanced (Purple) and Expert (Gold) skiers. If you are unsure on your level please look at the Ski Profile Page on our website.
When participating in a purple/gold off piste holiday you should be prepared to do some ski touring at some point during the trip. Where possible the lift system will be used to access off piste terrain, however if you need to venture a bit further afield in order to access the best off piste conditions, then your guide may suggest ski touring. This will all be dependent upon conditions and the guides you have on your trip.
The Mark Warner operated 3* Chalet Hotel Rosanna is situated only a few minutes from the main cable cars, just off the pedestrianised main street. The property has a homely chalet feel, with a friendly and welcoming lounge area to kick back in after a long day on the mountain. The communal dining room contributes to a great social atmosphere in the evenings. You’ll be staying 7 night’s chalet board, in twin share accommodation.
Return flights and transfer to and from resort are included with this holiday. Ski carriage must be booked in advance through a member of the Freshtracks team, please call 020 8410 2022. Please look out for Mark Warner staff when you arrive at the airport as they are coordinating the transfer.
If these arrangements are not convenient, you can organise your own travel and may be eligible to receive a nominal discount from the holiday cost. Furthermore, if you can find alternative flights that coincide with our flight times, then you can meet the group at the airport and take our transfers to resort. Please do not book any alternative flights or travel until your holiday has been confirmed to run. Please contact the Freshtracks office on 020 8410 2022 in order to discuss this further.
Rarely can you find a list of top ski resorts in the world that doesn't mention St Anton, and rightly so. It's especially suited to advanced and expert skiers, thanks to its huge range of challenging runs and legendary off piste, as well as those with the energy to après-ski as hard as they ski. The resort sits at the western extremity of the Tirol, at the foot of the road up to the Arlberg pass and thanks to the new Flexenbahn gondola, is linked by piste to Zürs on the Lech side. This means that the Ski Arlberg area isn’t only the largest interconnected ski area in Austria, with 305km of slopes and 87 lifts (not forgetting the 200km of off piste), but it also enters the top 10 largest in the world. For more information, head to our in depth St Anton Resort Guide.
If you require ski hire, we recommend the Sport Jennewein Ski. This is located at the base of the Nassereinbahn cable car. When in resort, your ski club rep can assist the group with hiring the correct equipment.
If you own your own ski touring equipment, then it may be worth taking this with you on your trip. If you do not own your own kit, then this can normally be easily rented in resort. However, please be aware of the cost of hiring this equipment in resort.
