- Testing Panda Optics RS2 Goggles

After many years of skiing, I’m still on the hunt for the perfect pair of goggles – so I was delighted to test the Panda Optics RS2 Peach Polarised Ski Goggle while working in Méribel.
Over the week, we experienced everything from bright, bluebird mornings to heavy cloud rolling in during the afternoons. Those changing conditions gave me the perfect opportunity to properly test the RS2’s upgraded magnetic lens system. It was so quick and simple to change the lens and the protective cover for the spare lens meant they stayed protected in my backpack.
First impressions? They look fun and feel sleek. The lens width means you have a great field of vision with no frame obstructing your view. Most importantly for me, they felt comfortable straight away – no pinching, no awkward pressure points and thankfully no gap between the goggles and helmet.
For me, fit is everything. Many goggles press on my nose, making it harder to breathe and increasing the chances of fogging. The RS2 felt different straight away. The refined frame shape and reduced depth sat comfortably on my face without that compressed feeling, and they paired seamlessly with my helmet.
Ventilation was noticeably improved. Even during long, active days and when moving between cold air and milder conditions, I didn’t experience the usual build-up of steam – keeping my vision clear without me having to think about it.
Technically, the magnetic lens system stood out. When the weather closed in a couple of afternoons, swapping to the Low-Light HD lens, whilst in a chair-lift queue, was quick and secure – no fiddling, no stress.
The result was a goggle that combined technical confidence with a genuinely comfortable, female-friendly fit. I’d love to see them offered in a few more colourways in the future!
