However, thereโs another important side to MGG (www.mgg.ski) which weโd like to highlight. We proudly state that weโre the only โradically transparentโ outdoor clothing brand, and with good reason – our radical transparency promise makes us unique and is unmatched in the outdoor apparel industry. We provide detailed supply chain information, product pricing and profit breakdowns, and product carbon footprint data, all on a per product basis, both on our website, and in our annual Transparency & ESG โSnow Reportsโ. In short, this is a level of transparency which exceeds any of our competitors.
Yet, for this 23/24 season, we wanted to take things to another level. In what we believe is potentially a world first, and taking strong inspiration from food labelling, weโve designed a new Radical Transparency Label, or RTL for short, which contains as much information and data as we could possibly fit within the given constraints. Weโve built these RTLโs into the inside of our new menโs and womenโs insulated and shell ski jackets, and weโre incredibly excited to share this new project with you.
Thereโs a good reason why none of our competitors have ever tried to do the same. Not only is it complicated to integrate printed labels into products like this from a manufacturing perspective, but itโs also a lot of work to design and prepare different labels for different products, and above all to ensure that all the information and data are correct at the time of manufacturing! Thankfully, here at MGG weโre obsessed with detail, and our small batch manufacturing in Europe allows us to try things which other brands just simply arenโt able to do.
One day, weโd love to see similar RTLโs in many more products sold by other brands, but for now, weโre delighted to present to you this latest MGG development in our own drive for unparalleled brand transparency!
