Nestled at the foot of Mont Blanc, Courmayeur combines varied skiing, spectacular Alpine scenery and authentic Italian hospitality. With new lift developments and improved facilities for the 2026/27 season, the resort offers an exciting mountain experience for skiers and non-skiers alike.
Courmayeur’s ski area spans the Checrouit and Val Vény sectors, offering runs for a range of abilities, from gentle beginner slopes to challenging descents.
Checrouit is known for its panoramic skiing, mountain restaurants and lively après-ski, while Val Vény offers quieter forest runs and spectacular views of Mont Blanc. More experienced skiers can explore the freeride routes around the Youla and Arp gondolas.
This winter sees two new 10-passenger panoramic gondolas replacing the existing Checrouit gondola and Maison Vieille chairlift. The new cabins offer improved comfort, accessibility and energy efficiency.
Plan Checrouit is also being transformed into a new alpine plaza, creating a welcoming space for visitors to meet and relax.
Other improvements include the introduction of an Intelligent Pricing System, which adjusts ski pass prices according to demand, conditions and advance bookings.
Courmayeur is a great choice for families, with the Maison Vieille beginner area expanding to include two new magic carpets. Children under eight ski free when an adult, youth or senior pass is purchased simultaneously, with reduced rates also available for young skiers up to 24.
For those with young families there is the Scuola di Sci Monte Bianco’s Baby Club. Open every day and welcomes both resident and non-resident children from the ages of 0-10 years old. It is an excellent daycare centre with supervised indoor play areas, snow activities and a children-only dining service.
Food is another highlight, with more than 20 mountain restaurants serving everything from traditional Alpine dishes to gourmet cuisine. Visitors can enjoy panoramic lunches, lively après-ski and evening dining, with some Val Vény restaurants accessible by snowmobile.
For a unique experience, Buongiorno Courmayeur offers just 50 guests the opportunity to ski at sunrise, before the resort opens to the public.
The resort also offers plenty beyond winter skiing, with new mountain bike flow trails and an annual pass covering skiing, mountain biking, the Alpine pool and Tour du Mont Blanc trails.
With varied skiing, modern facilities, family-friendly experiences and exceptional mountain dining, Courmayeur offers a complete Alpine holiday beneath Mont Blanc.
Winter season: 28 November 2026 – 11 April 2027.
