One of the most valuable things I’ve learned during my time at Ski Club is the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both the behind the scenes workings of the organisation and in building my marketing skills. Through my involvement, I’ve had a chance to observe and learn about the complexities of organising ski trips – from managing logistics to ensuring everything runs smoothly. At the same time, I’ve been able to contribute to the club’s marketing efforts, helping to create content. Overall, the experience has been incredibly rewarding as I’ve been able to develop my skills and gain a deeper understanding of how creative and strategic marketing can help drive participation and promote events. It’s been a fantastic learning opportunity, and I’m excited to continue developing my skills as I gain more experience in the industry.
As a female in the snow sports industry, my experience has been a mixture of both positive and enlightening moments. I’ve been fortunate to be part of a supportive community at Snow-Camp, where the focus is on inclusivity and fostering a welcoming environment for everyone. There is a lot more opportunities opening up for females within the snow sports industry and it is great to see it evolve, and for the future I hope to see more progression and growth being contributed to the growth of women’s involvement within snow sports.
In the future, I hope to complete a few seasons in the snow sports industry, which has always been something I’ve wanted to do. I feel incredibly ready to take that step, as I’ve gained a solid foundation of experience and knowledge so far, and I’m eager to fully immerse myself in the experience. Completing seasons will allow me to deepen my understanding of the industry, develop new skills, and build meaningful connections within the snow sports community.
My experience with Snow Camp has been a real stepping stone in my snow sports journey. The charity has given me the opportunity to progress in ways I hadn’t imagined, offering a variety of experiences and challenges that have helped me grow both personally and professionally. From fundraising events to work placements, Snow Camp has provided me with valuable hands-on opportunities that have allowed me to expand my skills and build a deeper connection to the snow sports community.
The support and guidance I’ve received from Snow Camp have been instrumental in helping me develop a broader understanding of the industry. Through these opportunities, I’ve gained exposure to different aspects of the industry, including event planning, marketing, and community outreach, all while being part of a team that is genuinely dedicated to making a positive impact. It’s been an exciting journey, and I’m grateful for all that snow camp have done and continue to do for me.
