Obertauern's combination of attractions is unique - a great snow record, impressive variety of terrain and a lively apres scene.

If you're hooked on Austrian mountain huts and après-ski but looking for a change from slush and ice at village level, moving up in the world by 1000m or so could be just the ticket. Austria's only purpose built resorts set high on top of the Tauern pass, it offers extensive ski to door options with a range of modern chalet style hotels. Once you have finished on the slopes, make sure you sample the lively apres scene in resort. The slopes and lifts form a snow-sure circuit around the village, which can be skied either clockwise or anti clockwise as a mix of green, blue and red runs.
