It is now hard to believe that Canada had a slow start to the season. Whistler, which struggled greatly for snow during the early part of the season, now has a base depth of snow of over 2m on the upper pistes after recent heavy snow. Further heavy snowfall is forecast over the next 3 days, with the resort set to see 85cm of snowfall. Temperatures will fall as low as -12 °C and will not go much higher than this.
Further to the east, snowfall is set to be more modest. Banff received some snow over the weekend and has all its lifts turning and is therefore a good option for skiing in the area.
