La Parva Ski Resort

Only 50km east of Santiago and condoville for the capital's elite.

One of the Tres Valles ski areas, along with El Colorado and Valle Nevado - no area pass is available. The resort gets relatively few international visitors and instead attracts many of Santiago's wealthy families. The resort is an intermediate skiers paradise. Over 80% of the runs are rated as blue or red. There is a beginners area down by the resort centre and for the more confident beginners La Parva is full of many wide, open long blues. Some gentle blues from the upper parts of the mountain link to the Camino La Bandera and Autopista del Sol blues to provide a gentle return route to the beginners area by the base of the resort.

Intermediates are well served on all parts of the mountain and there is a high concentration of reds on the upper parts of the mountain. Advanced skiers have more on piste options in La Parva than at the other Tres Valles ski areas. The best area of blacks can be accessed via the Las Aguilas chairlift. If you are prepared to hike there is some excellent backcountry terrain, particularly from the top of the Las Aguilas chairlift.
