Cold temperatures rule the roost across southern and eastern reaches this week, with a large dump of snowfall expected for Romania – at least a foot of snow is expected down across higher ground in this region. Elsewhere in the Balkans things remain cold with a smaller total of snow down.
Things remain cold across the Balkans throughout the rest of this forecast period; in Romania, there will be a spike in temperatures towards the end of the week, before temperatures fall again and snowfall returns.
Across the north of the region, things remain mild with temperatures hovering around freezing at resort level – a burst of snow is expected on Thursday, before temperatures climb over the weekend.
