Ischgl Rep Report

Our Day

It was forecasted and it arrived. Starting around 3pm Wednesday and then continuous snow all through today. Yep, the viz was a little low but hey on-piste powder. Keeping to a theme we ventured to Kappl and See for the day. Unfortunately those in command deemed the upper slopes of Kappl were not to be touched so the lift was kept closed for the morning that we were there. However powder everywhere. We skied what we could and then took the run down through the trees. Finally some viz.
Over to See. As the top elevation is slightly lower everything in See was open including all the ski routes. However visibility again was hindering progress as was the snow. Paths that are usually quick access to the major runs were clogged with snow and meant pushing our way over to where the Furglerblick and Versingbahn lifts are. Once there we were greeted with untracked in places powder at 12:30 on the piste! There was hardly anyone here. We lapped this a couple of times then had lunch at the Acherhütte. Again this was half full with no one outside at 13:30!
Quickish lunch then back to savour some of the other pistes. Coming back round on blue 40. Here there was a mini split as my team didn’t fancy ski route 26 and we met at the bottom of red 20. Finally there was some viz. The ski route offered a perfect pitch with freshies all the way down. After lapping this area for a bit, and with weary legs we departed back down the mountain via red 21 then 1.
A fantastic days skiing and a great memory for my penultimate day of repping and season.
