I have always had connections to the mountains, I have family that currently live near the Alps and snowboard as much as possible, others have trained to be ski instructors, and I have spent over 23 years chasing winter trips! I have always loved being on snow, off piste on a sunny morning after a few days of heavy snow, in the trees on cloudy days, or up first thing to catch untouched pistes. When not on the snow, I spend my time in the UK skateboarding and surfing as much as possible. I love meeting new people and really look forward to seeing you on the slopes!

I have been skiing since the age of 8. I completed the Joint Service Downhill Ski instructors course in the Army and also did some ski racing during my 10 years in the Army. Since my Army days ( a few years ago now! 1994) I have skied and snow boarded in multiple resorts across Europe, plus one resort in America and two resorts in New Zealand. I often organize ski trips and guide friends and families around resorts. I love to meet new people and have shared experiences. I have a passion for the outdoors and have been known to free camp on top of mountains! (in the summer). My other interests include sailing, tennis, diving, motorcycling and charity work. Looking forward to skiing with you in the future.

  • The resortโ€™s location at the head of a remote valley above Chur and on the Obersee Lake makes Arosa one of the most picturesque resorts in Switzerland.

With two main parts to the resort village and extensive skiing over the col in Lenzerheide, this is an exciting Swiss destination that flies under the radar of most British skiers. The skiing below the towering Weisshorn is mostly east facing, making this a great area for early morning turns. Weโ€™d then recommend following the sunshine and taking the impressive Urdenbahn cable car across the Lenzerheide, which opens up a vast array of terrain.

    Pros and cons

    • Traditional but lively resort with good hotels and restaurants
    • Vast linked ski area with neighbouring Lenzerheide
    • East-facing aspect makes this the ideal spot for morning skiing
    • High winds can close the upper lifts and link to Lenzerheide
    • Few major challenges for experts
    • No real trees to escape to in bad weather
