Ortisei Ski Resort
An attractive, prosperous, attractive market town with a life of its own besides tourism. Part of the Sella Ronda circuit and the Dolomiti Superski area.
Beginners need not head far to access the beginners slopes next to the village. There are also good opportunities for progression with many gentle blue runs close by. Ortisei, as with many other resorts close by, is an intermediates paradise – there are some fantastic long blues and reds, particularly towards Selva. Advanced skiers have limited options in and around Ortisei itself but in Val Gardena, the area which Ortisei is part of, there is a World Cup downhill course. Advanced skiers also have the slopes of the Dolomiti Superski area at their disposal.
There are a few hotels and apartments in Ortisei. The resort is generally fairly busy due to also operating as a market town. The closest airport is Bolzano which is just 40km away. Innsbruck is a larger alternative but it is a 120km, two hour, drive.
