Val Senales Ski Resort
One of Italy's most snowsure resorts with the season running from autumn to late spring. One claim to fame is the resort playing host to Europe's highest hotel at 3,210m.
The resort while small, still provides access to over 40km of slopes. Beginners are well catered for by the beginner’s park at the base of the gondola. There are a few short blues around the resort which provide good progression opportunities. The area is fantastic for intermediates given the great range of blue runs across the mountain. Ambitious intermediates can catch the gondola up the mountain and ski back down to the village on a combination of blues and reds. Advanced skiers have few on piste options but there is a challenging terrain park and plenty of off piste if you take the chairlifts out of the village rather than the gondola.
The accommodation is provided by four reasonably sized hotels. The nearest airport is Bolzano which is only an hour’s drive away.
