The slopes may be low (topping out at 1488m) and snow reliability might not be the same as in the Alps,
but recent investment in lifts, snowmaking and slopes facilities has really improved the skiing at Feldberg.
There’s decent variety in the 26km of slopes, which includes good learning areas and several blacks, plus lots of magic carpets and learning lifts at the base of the hill.
There’s decent accommodation at the base of the hill, mostly in small hotels and holiday apartments, plus there’s some good value youth hostels for the budget conscious. Off the slopes there’s a lot to do, especially if you’re a fan of hiking and cross country skiing, as the local hills and forests have a great network of prepared and groomed trails.

Mostly calm and spring-like conditions will be the theme of the week for German resorts through this week, as the freezing line swings between 2,500m in the midday sun to overnight lows of 1,500m. This will drop more consistently towards the end of the week and into the weekend.
A little precipitation will move in throughout the week, bringing a few rain showers on Wednesday but bringing a useful freshener for many areas into the weekend.
