It’s likely that you’ll share the T-bar with one of Norway’s best racers if you ski here. There’s only one lift, but it serves some great summer terrain and the snow tends to stay in better condition than on the glaciers of the Alps.
Summer 2020 kicked off with a new base building, significantly improving the on-hill facilities and taking Fonna to new levels. Stay down on the fjord in Jondal, accessed via a short ferry hop, which is a summer sports hub – after skiing make the most of the long Norwegian summer days by kayaking, mountain biking, hiking or swimming. There’s also glacier hikes and ski touring on offer on the glacier itself.
