Selwyn Snowfields

Australia's most northerly ski resort. The resort is well suited to beginners and intermediates.

The resort has now reopened following a complete rebuild, having been destroyed by bushfires in 2020 and reconstruction delayed by COVID-19.

The resort comprises of 9 lifts and 10km of pistes. Whilst this may be small, the upside is that as a result the lift pass is cheaper than most Australian ski resorts. The beginner area is found around the base of the village, alongside the toboggan only run. Intermediates can venture to most areas of the mountain but the highest concentration of suitable runs can be found at the top of the Township Triple chairlift. The options for advanced skiers are extremely limited but there are some blacks that can be accessed from the top of the Race Course T-Bar.

There is no accommodation available at Selwyn Snowfields. Limited guest accommodation can be found at nearby Cabramurra. The closest major tourist accommodation is located at the holiday village of Providence Portal. The resort is a six hour drive from Sydney.
