The resort while small, still provides access to over 40km of slopes.
Beginners are well catered for by the beginner’s park at the base of the gondola. There are a few short blues around the resort which provide good progression opportunities. The area is fantastic for intermediates given the great range of blue runs across the mountain. Ambitious intermediates can catch the gondola up the mountain and ski back down to the village on a combination of blues and reds. Advanced skiers have few on piste options but there is a challenging terrain park and plenty of off piste if you take the chairlifts out of the village rather than the gondola.
The accommodation is provided by four reasonably sized hotels, with one of the resort’s claims to fame is playing host to Europe’s highest hotel at 3210m. The nearest airport is Bolzano which is only an hour’s drive away.

A more mixed week for much of Italy as the expected snowfall moves in from the north and west, as opposed to the south and east as it has for much of the rest of this season. This will still mean good snow for western areas, especial those in the northwest close to the Main Alpine Ridge – around 2ft of snow is expected down over Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. This will mostly fall on higher ground as the freezing line remains around 2,000m, dropping as the week continues and taking a long walk off a short pier over the weekend, when it will hit sea level.
Friday will see an easing in the snowfall but flurries will continue over this day and Saturday. As this cold weather moves in on Sunday, conditions will remain fine, dry and bright throughout potentially making for excellent skiing conditions now that the new snow has had a chance to settle.
