ON SNOW EXPERIENCE
You’ll start the week with an exploratory warm-up day to get your ski legs working again before diving into five full days of instruction. The expert tuition is led by Yann Westercamp, a Flaine legend, and his team of local instructors. They aim to teach, guide, improve and entertain you.
Groups will be organised based on ski level and this is an Advanced Intermediate (Silver) and Advanced (Purple) off piste holiday. If you are unsure of your level please see our Ski Profile Page. At the end of the week you will receive an updated grading from your Instructor or Ski Club Rep.
You’ll spend seven nights on a chalet board basis in one of our two chalets situated side-by-side up in Hameau de Flaine. Chalet board includes breakfast, afternoon tea and a three course evening meal with wine on five nights. The chalet staff will have 2 nights off, on one night the group will eat at a nearby restaurant – payable locally. On the other night off, the chalet hosts will prepare a meal for the group, and the Ski Club Rep will help to serve this in the evening.
Flights are not included but a set transfer is available. The transfer will depart from Geneva airport at 14:30. Please arrive at the airport at least one hour before in order to take the transfer. Please meet your Ski Club Rep at the Jazz Café in the arrivals hall by latest 14:00. They will be wearing their blue Ski Club jacket. The return transfer will arrive back to Geneva airport on the inbound date by 11:30.
At the heart of the Grand Massif, Flaine has fantastic, vast and varied terrain for skiers of all levels. As a resort built because of the majestic mountains and generous dumps of snow, Flaine benefits from one of the best snowfalls across the Alps, with an average of almost six metres a year. With its runs being predominantly north-facing, the resort is renowned for maintaining fantastic snow throughout the season.
The chalets are based up in the colourful Scandinavian-style development, Les Chalets du Hameau, a few minutes drive from the main resort. In Hameau there is a bar/restaurant L'Ancolie which also has a small shop with some local products. There is a free transport to and from the main resort until midnight and in good conditions you can also ski down to the meeting point in the mornings. For more information on Flaine, please visit the Flaine Resort Page.
If you require ski hire, we have a good arrangement with Flaine Super Ski, who stock excellent all terrain skis for our groups. They are adjacent to the main lift station and as a Ski Club member you will get a 20% discount.
