ON SNOW EXPERIENCE
This trip includes four days with mountain guides. You’ll be split into groups of 6/7 based on your ski profile. This trip is aimed at Intermediate (Silver) to Advanced (Purple) off piste skiers. If you are unsure of your ski level, please see our Ski Profile Page. At the end of the week, you will receive an updated grading from your Guide or Ski Club Rep.
The family run 3* Hotel de la Couronne is centrally situated a mere 900 yards from the ski area. This location is perfect for an early start and quick access after a full day on the mountain. The hotel is simple but comfortable and welcoming. Many rooms offer impressive views of Mont Blanc, as does the restaurant. You’ll be staying 3 nights half board, in twin share accommodation. If the conditions permit, you will spend the final evening of the trip in a mountain hut.
Travel is not included in this weekend trip. We would recommend flying into Geneva. Please feel free to contact the Freshtracks team on 020 8410 2022 for any further information.
Argentière is part of the famous Chamonix valley and is home to the highest point - the Grands Montets at 3275m - the start of some truly stunning off piste descents and glacial terrain. The other areas of the Chamonix valley are also within easy reach so you can go to wherever you’ll find the best conditions for the day. Argentière is a nice contrast to the bustle of Chamonix itself, and serves as a handy base for reaching the easier slopes at Balme too, above the tiny village of Le Tour, or 4km in the opposite direction to Flégère. There's a lot of modern development, but the village retains a certain rustic appeal and there are plenty of informal hotels, bars and restaurants with as much variety as you'd expect to cater for the range of international visitors. For more information on Argentiere, please visit the Argentiere Resort Page.
If you require equipment hire, we recommend Skiset. Pre-book online via the Ski Club website, and you will receive a discount on your ski hire.
