Narvik is situated in the north of Norway and offers the greatest vertical drop in Scandinavia. There is some lift served skiing here but many will focus on the touring potential the area has to offer, made even more special with the scenic Ofotfjorden as your backdrop.

To really ski like a Norwegian, don't forget your ‘matpakke’ or packed lunch and stay warm with a ‘solbaertoddy’, a local warm blackcurrant drink. Due to the dark period in December and January, high season in Narvik is from March to June meaning your late season trip here is actually perfectly timed. You’ll be treated to a real Arctic experience here along with Sami culture and a historic background surrounded by mountains and deep fjords.

Situated just 30 minutes from Narvik airport (EVE), you will be staying at the Trollviken Lodge; an old converted fish farm. Set on the waterside of the Ofoten Fjord, the property affords truly stunning views over the water.

The Lodge itself sleeps eight and has two bathrooms and you will be looked after on a fully catered basis. There is also access to a traditional wood burning sauna on the waterside.

There are no direct flights from the UK and you may have to overnight in Oslo depending on your departure airport. You can search flights on various sites including skyscanner.net though will find most options are with either Norwegian or SAS. The airport code name is Harstad/Narvik airport, Evenes and the airport code is EVE. The lodge is only 30 minutes from the airport and the guides will collect you from there.
