Champery Ski Resort

The rustic village of Champery is located in the Swiss sector of the vast Portes du Soleil, with access to sunny local slopes.

For rustic, quiet Swiss charm in a ski region known for its hustle and bustle, Champery is a great option. The resort has direct access into the Portes du Soleil and its 600km of slopes, with particularly quick access into the runs above Morzine and Avoriaz. Unfortunately, there's no run back down to town, so you'll either have to download the main gondola or ski down to the base of Grand Paradis a little up the valley and catch the bus back down.

As mentioned, the village itself is very pretty and traditionally Swiss, with cosy restaurants serving up hearty fondues and raclettes and family-run hotels dominating the scene. Getting here is very easy from Geneva – the drive takes around an hour and a half whilst the train takes a little over two hours.
