Chamonix Adventures with Girl Powder Retreats

I usually only visit the mountains in winter, drawn by skiing, so I wasnโ€™t expecting much from a summer trip. But wow – I’m completely stunned! The mountains in summer are a whole different world. Hiking there was amazing, you get to discover everything hidden under the layers of snow you usually ski over, and the trails are bursting with colour. You get the same feeling as winter, when youโ€™re surrounded by mountains, and absolutely nothing outside of that moment matters – your mind just feels completely free.

Chalet Mรจlรจzes is breathtaking, with its own spa and gym facilities, a warm, welcoming host in Laura, and panoramic views that seemed to change every hour with the light and the weather. The dining and lounging areas made it easy for everyone to come together, share stories, laugh, and enjoy the delicious food from Chef Luca. It felt like a home away from home – but one with the most incredible backdrop and a spa..ย

Every day offered something new – hikes, white-water rafting, daily yoga, relaxing in the spa, or wandering around town after a long lunch. I pushed myself and quickly discovered that I really love an adrenaline kick; mountain biking, though a little scary, was definitely a highlight. Honestly, I didnโ€™t know a trip like this existed, and now I canโ€™t wait to go back. Itโ€™s more than a holiday – itโ€™s a complete reset for both mind and body.

One of the best parts of the trip was meeting so many like-minded women, all excited to try new things and embrace adventure. From the moment we arrived, it was amazing how quickly I felt supported by the women around me – cheering each other on, sharing laughs over tricky activities (or falling off our bikes), and proving that age didnโ€™t matter at all when it came to embracing new experiences.

Each day followed an itinerary that struck the perfect balance: relaxed enough to feel unrushed, yet full enough to leave you feeling fulfilled and inspired – there was even room for a, pre-dinner, nap after the mountain biking!ย

I never thought Iโ€™d get emotional over dinner, but when we started talking about experiences, goals, and some of the things other women wished theyโ€™d done more of in life, it really hit me. Life is short, and these moments are precious. The trip was a powerful reminder that we need to try new things, challenge ourselves, embrace every opportunity to grow and more importantly, support other women!ย
