In the heart of Vialattea is the small and laid-back alpine village of Sansicario. Its prime location at the centre of the 400km area makes it an ideal base for exploring the region.

Towards the French border lies the hidden gem of Claviere, a scenic village nestled among the mountains, offering magnificent landscapes and uncrowded slopes. With Montgenèvre just a short ski away, Claviere offers the option to ski two countries in one holiday, giving you the best of both worlds.

Distinct yet complementary, Vialattea offers vast, high-altitude terrain and a sense of cross-border adventure, while Bardonecchia provides a lively town atmosphere, rich après ski options, and a long-standing sporting tradition. This renewed synergy also brings tangible benefits for visitors. The combined seasonal pass allows skiers to move freely between both ski resorts all winter long. Holidaymakers, too, get a taste of this expanded offering. The six-day Vialattea ski pass now includes one day’s access to Bardonecchia and one to the French Montgenèvre, allowing skiers to experience three distinct Alpine resorts within a single holiday.

Innovation for 25/26 and beyond

Ensuring perfect snow coverage is a main priority in Vialattea, which is why the resort continuously invests in cutting-edge snowmaking technology. Recent upgrades focused on the Banchetta-Sestriere sector with modern snow generators. Over the past three years, a total of 18,600m of lines have been renewed, and a further 5,500m are planned for modernisation in the coming years, creating a total of over 24,000m of state-of-the-art snowmaking infrastructure.

For skiers and snowboarders, this translates into more reliable snow and consistently high-quality slopes. The combination of natural snowfall and advanced snowmaking technology makes Vialattea one of the best alpine destinations.

How to reach Vialattea
