Carrick-Smith Brothers Receive Ski Club’s Evie Pinching Award

The Ski Club of Great Britain is delighted to announce Zak, Luca and Freddy Carrick-Smith as this season’s recipients of the Evie Pinching Award, following an impressive year for the three British racers.

The award supports the next generation of British snowsports talent, providing funding to help athletes take the next step in their careers.

A Season of World Cup Debuts

All three brothers made their World Cup debuts during a standout 2025/26 campaign:

• Freddy enjoyed a breakthrough season, making his World Cup debut in Sölden before claiming slalom silver at the FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships in Narvik, Norway.
• Zak reached an important milestone with his World Cup debut in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, alongside international FIS slalom victories that underlined his progress.
• Luca made his World Cup debut in Levi, Finland, and carried that momentum into the summer, winning the slalom at the New Zealand National Championships.

The Evie Pinching Award will contribute towards each brother’s upcoming racing season as they look to build on these achievements. The Ski Club is proud to support their continued development and looks forward to following their progress this winter.
