Charlotte Bankes and Huw Nightingale Awarded Prestigious Pery Medal

The Ski Club of Great Britain is proud to announce that Olympic gold medallists Charlotte Bankes and Huw Nightingale have been named the recipients of the 2026 Pery Medal, recognising their outstanding achievements in British snowsports.

The pair made history at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, claiming gold in the mixed team snowboard cross event. Their remarkable performance was one of the standout moments of the Games and a landmark achievement for British snowboarding.

Recognising Excellence in Snowsports

First established in 1929, the Pery Medal is one of the Club’s most prestigious honours. It was founded by the Hon. E. C. Pery, later the Earl of Limerick, who served as President of the Ski Club of Great Britain from 1925 to 1927.

The award recognises individuals or organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to snowsports, celebrating exceptional achievements and a lasting impact on the sport. Recipients are selected by the Council of the Ski Club of Great Britain.

Celebrating Olympic Success

Charlotte Bankes was presented with the Pery Medal at the 2026 London Snow Show, where she expressed her appreciation for the recognition.
