Corvara offers access to some excellent local pistes but also the Sella Ronda Circuit and the 1200km Dolomiti Superski area.

The resort is excellently suited to beginners with a range of excellent nursery slopes and there is excellent progression opportunities on to some gentle, wide blues that run past Colfosco.

The resort really comes into its own for intermediates with a large proportion of the local runs being long, gentle blues. More challenging intermediate terrain can be found in Selva and Arabba. There is not much terrain for advanced skiers in Corvara itself but the Dolomiti Superski area has a vast range of suitable terrain – be careful when going off piste as off piste skiing is prohibited in a number of areas. Head to La Villa to tackle the famous Gran Risa World Cup run.

Corvara is a pretty village, located just below Colfosco. It is larger and slightly more lively than its neighbouring village. There is plenty to do off the slopes such as ice skating and even tennis. There are a decent number of hotels in Corvara and if you’re into fine dining, the Stüa de Michil restaurant in the Hotel La Perla has a Michelin star. The quickest way to get to the resort is by flying to Innsbruck before taking a two and a half hour transfer to Corvara.
