This trip includes six days with mountain guides. You’ll be split into groups of 6/7 based on your ski profile. Ski touring may be suggested should you need to venture further afield to access the best off piste conditions. This will all be dependent upon conditions and the guides you have on your trip. If you are part of a large Freshtracks trip then there may be the opportunity for one group not to participate in any ski touring for the duration of the trip. If this is the case, please inform your Ski Club Rep at the beginning of the trip.
It is essential that guests have the correct ski profile for their holiday, please see the ‘View dates & prices‘ tab for specific holiday information.

This information is usually sent out 1 week before departure. It will include your final itinerary, Freshtracks Rep contact details, and any important information relating to your transfers, flights, and accommodation, depending on what is included in your specific package.
Freshtracks holidays use Ski Profiles to make sure you’re skiing alongside members of a similar ability, creating well-matched groups and a more enjoyable experience for everyone.
We recommend reviewing the Ski Profile page below and selecting the profile you feel best represents your current skiing. The profiles are there to help us place you on the right holiday for you, so please choose honestly to ensure you get the most out of your time on the slopes.
If you’ve travelled with us in the past few years, your rep will have given you a ski grading during your holiday. This will already be recorded on your account and can help guide you when choosing your holiday.
No. Freshtracks holidays cater to a wide range of skiing abilities, from confident intermediates to advanced skiers. Each trip includes information about the recommended ski level so you can choose the right holiday for your ability.
Absolutely. Many Freshtracks guests travel solo – in fact, 85% of our guests last winter were solo travellers. Our holidays are specifically designed to make it easy to meet other skiers and feel part of the group from the start.
Group dining, guided skiing and organised social activities all help to create a friendly, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, making Freshtracks an ideal choice for those travelling on their own.
Ski rental is not included on Freshtracks holidays and is arranged separately. That said, Ski Club of Great Britain members enjoy access to a number of ski hire discounts, which can be found on our Discounts page.

It is a condition of booking that you have valid and adequate snowsports insurance. It is your responsibility to ensure your policy provides cover for all the activities that you participate in during your holiday. We offer a Ski Club Insurance policy which provides the cover we require for all bookings. This policy can be found here: Ski Club Travel Insurance – Ski Club Of Great Britain.
If you decide to purchase insurance elsewhere, it is your responsibility to ensure that your policy provides cover as that of the Ski Club Insurance policy. The policy of insurance should provide cover for personal injury, death, medical and repatriation costs in the countries which you intend to visit, together with cover for loss of baggage and valuables, personal liability, delay, cancellation, curtailment, missed departure and legal expenses. The policy should also include cover against losses caused by the effects or consequences of Covid-19.
Due to the type of holidays that you will be booking with us, we also advise that your policy should include skiing off-piste without a guide. Please note, insurance premiums must be paid at the same time as booking in order for the package holiday or single service cancellation cover to be effective. It is also advised to keep your insurance details with you while you are on your holiday. If you choose to travel without adequate insurance cover, we will not be liable for any losses howsoever arising, in respect of which insurance cover would otherwise have been available.
Passport – Check your passport is in date and valid for travel by checking the entry requirements for your destination country – you can see these here: Foreign travel advice – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
For most European destinations your passport should:
Check your passport meets these requirements before you travel.
NB: Beginning in October 2025, how you pass through EU border controls will change. Find out more information about EES and ETIAS here.
When venturing off piste, it is compulsory to wear an avalanche transceiver. These can be provided by the Ski Club and should be worn by every person on every all mountain, off piste and touring holiday. Anyone joining these holidays will also be required to bring their own backpack, shovel and probe.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Any Member wishing to ski/snowboard with a Ski Club Group, in any of the resorts where the Ski Club is represented, agrees to do so under the following conditions:
You will be staying at the comfortable 4* Hotel Mirella on a half board basis in twin share accommodation. The hotel is beautifully set alongside the river Oglio, with spectacular mountain views from the communal spaces and many of the bedrooms.
Your stay includes access to a wellness centre, featuring a hot tub, spa and sauna. The restaurant offers a fantastic range of traditional Italian and Alpine food, as well as an impressive range of pastries baked on site served as part of the breakfast buffet.
This holiday is on a twin share basis. If you are a solo traveller, then you will be placed in a room with someone of the same gender. Single rooms may be available upon request. These are subject to our hotel room allowance. If you require a single room, please book early to avoid disappointment.

If you can find alternative flights that coincide with our flight times, then you can meet the group at the airport and take our transfers to resort. Please do not book any alternative flights or travel until your holiday has been confirmed to run. Please contact the Freshtracks office on 020 8410 2022 in order to discuss this further.

Colin Skipper, July 8, 2024
This holiday is a real off piste adventure, set in high mountains with interesting terrain and stunning scenery. Most days involve back country skinning and hiking; with some steep slopes to tackle. To get the most out of the holiday you will need a high level of fitness, some previous off piste and touring experience, and the right equipment. Guiding is by Andrea Enzio and team, very knowledgeable and a real pleasure to ski with.
The Adamello ski area is located in the Trentino and Lombardy provinces in Italy, and comprises four different ski areas; Ponte di Legno, Passo Tonale, Presena Glacier and Temù. Elevation ranges from 1,100 to 3,000m with around 40 ski slopes served by 28 lifts, which act as the gateway to an extensive back country ski area. Due to the glacier, and the altitude and aspect the of ski areas, Adamello is “snow sure” (with summer skiing) and fresh snow usually stays cold and dry; providing excellent off-piste conditions in fantastic terrain.
Hotel Mirella is situated on the edge of Ponte di Legno, a short complimentary minibus shuttle from the lifts, and a couple of minutes’ walk from the town centre. The hotel provides a reasonable standard of accommodation, with pool and spa, and fantastic meals. A good “ski trip” hotel.

Alban was an excellent rep. He was attentive, good fun, and keen to make sure we were all happy. Andrea is always top notch guide, very safety conscious and a joy to ski with.
